Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. was established (in Blue Economic Development Zone, Hekou District, Dongying City, Shandong Province), which symbolizes that the 1 million tons/year integrated butane utilization project and supporting project planned by the company was officially launched.

Dongfang Desen Energy Co., Ltd. (located in Dongfang Industrial Park in Hainan Province) owned by Keda Chemical Company planned to build a integrated butane utilization project.

The Phase I project - 400,000 tons/year butane modification plant of Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. was put into operation.

Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of "outstanding foreign-invested enterprise" by Hekou District.

The Phase II project - 600,000 tons/year butane modification plant of Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. was put into operation; at the same time, the project of 60,000 tons/year maleic anhydride production through n-butane oxidation was launched.

The trial run of the 40,000 tons/year waste sulfuric acid recovery plant of Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. was successful, and the plant became the largest industrial waste acid recovery plant in China.

The new office building, staff apartment and staff restaurant of Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd. were officially put into use.

In order to further regulate the operation management mode of the group company, Huaya Holding Co., Ltd. was registered and established for holding management of 5 subsidiary including Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd., Dongfang Desen Energy Co., Ltd., Shandong Yibao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and so on.

The holding subsidiary - Dongying Guanjia Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. was established (in Dawang Economic Development Zone, Guangrao County, Dongying City), and the Phase I project - 5000 tons/year polyacrylamide was officially started.

The trial run of the Phase I project - 200,000 tons/year butane modification plant of the holding subsidiary - Dongfang Desen Energy Co., Ltd. was successful; at the same time, the Phase II project - 50,000 tons/year maleic anhydride production through n-butane oxidation was started.

The Phase I 5000 tons/year polyacrylamide project of the holding subsidiary - Dongying Guanjia Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. went into operation.

The holding subsidiary - Dongying Huaya Catalyst Co., Ltd. was established, which symbolizes that the company starts to have maleic anhydride catalyst projects with independent intellectual property rights. And the company will completely break the monopoly of Süd-Chemie AG and Italy POLYNT in the field, and become the first maleic anhydride catalyst manufacturer with independent intellectual property rights in China.

The maleic anhydride production plant through n-butane oxidation of Dongying Kede Chemical Co., Ltd., with 60,000 tons/year capacity, was successfully put into operation.

The headquarter of Huaya Holding Co., Ltd. was moved to the place where Dongying Municipal Government lies (in International Trade Building, Qianfu Street, Dongying City).

The 20,000 tons/year waste sulfuric acid recovery unit of Dongfang Desen Energy Co., Ltd. has been successfully commissioned in one attempt.

The construction of the 180,000 tons/year isomerization and MTBE co-production facility of Dongfang Desen Energy Co., Ltd. has commenced, and it was put into operation in January 2017.

The construction of the 10,000 tons/year new material auxiliaries and 5,000 tons/year new food additives project at Shandong Yabang Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. has commenced, with the commencement and production of the two projects taking place in October and December respectively. 

Dongying Haistai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established, specializing in the business of sugar-free sweeteners and high-end food additives, primarily focusing on acesulfame potassium.

The construction of a project with an annual output of 30,000 tons of high-end lubricating oil has commenced. Guolian Company has signed strategic cooperation agreements with 15 domestic general aviation airports, marking the launch of Guolian Company's terminal layout.

Yabang Company has undergone technological transformation based on its existing facilities for tert-butylamine and acesulfame potassium, and plans to construct a 2,000-ton/year creatine and its derivatives project and a 10,000-ton/year cyanuric chloride project.

The cyanuric chloride and creatine projects have been successfully put into production.
